Course Objectives The aim of the course is to teach the importance of operations in both service and production firms. The second aim of the course is to identify the relation between production and other management functions and focus on the competitive advantage of function of production.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the problems about operations of the organizations
  • conclude on the problems by using decision making techniques
  • Use the mathematical techniques in decision making
  • Discuss the effect of strategic decisions made on the success of institutions they are working for by using mathematical decision making techniques

Course Description The course includes the courses like production systems for hospitals, functions of production, planning, stock control, product and service planning, decision making techniques and capacity planning.
